This year's Barrel Derby is looking to be bigger and better than ever. 2008 marks the 100th birthday of the Curlew Bridge, so this year's Barrel Derby theme, "Spanning Generations", will try to incorporate that milestone as well as our community and our resident's history. There will be BINGO held at the Civic Hall on Saturday, May 31st at 7:00 PM, the day before Barrel Derby. The Arts Council of Ferry County has chosen to hold their annual Ansorge Artists' Affair on the same day, so we should see an increased attendance for both events. We welcome this new addition and feel both events will enhance each other. Parking may become an issue, so plan to arrive early and find a good spot, remembering that some areas are to be kept clear to make room for vendors and the parade route.
